Joint pain comes to most people.  Over 20 million suffer with osteoarthritis & 10 million have osteoporosis with approximately 34 million have osteopenia, low bone density, but not severe enough to be classified as osteoporosis.  Progression will lead to osteoporosis that presents symptoms of chronic lower back pain, height loss and even physical deformity.

Public opinion was that exercise, running, playing sports or construction work caused osteoarthritis but research has shown that exercise is not the “bad guy” and your body will benefit by activity.  Osteoarthritis causes bones to grate, joints to swell and forms bone spurs and any movement can be extremely painful.  When we have pain , we move less, become more sedentary and open our body’s defenses to weight gain & depression.  over 70% of people over 70 show some level of arthritis.
